Our felt craft kits use a high quality blended wool felt made in Europe to ensure the best durability of your new friend. All of the production stages of this kit – design, assembly, and packaging – have been lovingly completed by a small staff here in our little shop in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

Just in time for summer adventures, this kit includes sewing patterns, instructions and everything else you need to make your very own lobster, crab, and jellyfish finger puppets. Each of these adorable little guys have finger pockets to help them come alive for endless fun!
We've also included instructions along with wool roving & felting needles to take this kit to a new level and give your creature barnacles!
At the Lunenburg Makery, we love being a part of such a beautiful coastal community where we have the chance to see lobsters, crabs, and jellyfish in their natural habitat. Which is why we understand how important the work is that Bluenose Coastal Action is undertaking.
Bluenose Coastal Action is a charitable organization that addresses environmental concerns within the South Shore region of Nova Scotia. Their goal is to promote the restoration, enhancement, and conservation of our environment.
To help support their efforts, $5 from the purchase of each By The Sea kit will go to Bluenose Coastal Action's Coastal & Marine projects and activities. These projects are focused on plastic pollution education, research, and prevention initiatives, including microplastic research and single-use plastic reduction program Ocean Friendly Nova Scotia.
